Kushal Perera reached his fourth One-Day International (ODI) fifty off 61 balls in the first ODI between Sri Lanka and England played at Colombo on Wednesday.

Sri Lankan openers Tillakarante Dilshan and Kushal Perera took their team to a likeable start . Dilshan smacked boundary only on the second ball of the match and continued in his attacking style. Perera was slow initially but gathered momentum later as he hit Ben stokes for a big six in the 10th over. He carried on in his attacking style as he hit Stokes for three consecutive boundaries in his next over. Both the batsmen played the England bowlers found the gaps with ease and rotated the strike efficiently.
