Good Morning! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day Four of the match between Australia and West Indies at Sydney which has been badly affected by rain. Most play was washed out on Day Two of the encounter and on Day Three not an over was bowled due to the same reason. Fans and players alike will hope for better weather in the following two days. Nevertheless, the time already lost out in this Test means West Indies have a realistic chance of saving themselves the blue of a humiliating whitewash. Moreover, the forecast for Day Four is not the most promising either. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Australia vs West Indies 2015-16, 3rd Test at Sydney
And that’s that. Cricket has bowed down to rain. No play on two successive days now and even Day Two saw only minimal play. Looks like a rainwash will spare West Indies the blushes of a whitewash.
Sorry folks, play has been abandoned on day four of #AUSvWI. Weather permitting play will start at 10am tomorrow.

RAIN: Any chance of an early start have been dampened literally. What a mood-dampener!
Meanwhile SCG has scored a hundred

If and when play is possible, Australia will look to clean up the West Indian tail in quick time. They will then hope to pile on the runs on a true batting surface at a quick rate and if all comes to plan they could just about push for an innings victory though that seems unlikely. As it stands now, the Test seems headed for a draw.
Australia are on top in this game at the current stage. West Indies are tottering at 248 for seven after a promising second wicket partnership between Darren Bravo and Kraigg Brathwaite in the first session on Day One. For West Indies, the Brathwaite brothers top scored. Kraigg’s innings was cut short of a hundred by 15 runs by Nathan Lyon, while Carlos scored 69 before falling.
