Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog for the second Test in the 2016-17 Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka series, at Colombo. This is the final Test of the two-Test series and we will get all the live scores and updates from the match. The match will be played at the P Sara Oval, in Colombo. Sri Lanka have gained an unassailable 1-0 lead after winning the first Test at Galle by a massive margin of 259 runs. This Test presents a perfect opportunity for Rangana Herath to win his second Test series as captain of Sri Lanka. On the other hand, Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim will want their side to put up more of a challenge. Full Cricket Scorecard: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test at Colombo

This is will also be the 100th Test for Bangladesh, since their first Test in 2000 against India, which they lost by 9 wickets at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. Since then they have seen much trials and tribulations in the journey towards building a competitive side in Test cricket. Bangladesh’s first Test win came against Zimbabwe, where Enamul Haque Jr ran through the opponents landing his side a 226 run win. This was also their first Test series win, after the second Test ended in a draw.

Bangladesh made just one change for the second Test, leaving out the out-of-form Mahmudullah. Sri Lanka, on the other hand have no such issues as the selection committee continues to display faith in the current Test side, that has a blend of experience and raw blood.

Sri Lanka’s record at P Sara Oval stands at 9 wins and 6 losses from 19 matches. Bangladesh, meanwhile do not share such a favorable record at P Sara Oval, a ground where they have lost all the 3 Tests they have featured in.
