Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and updates of the second and final Twenty20 International (T20I) between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. This is Rishad D’Souza and I will be bringing you the live cricket updates and live cricket scores of the match. The match will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. Bangladesh will be looking for a clean sweep of Zimbabwe side in this tour. Before the two-match Test series, Bangladesh had slammed Zimbabwe 3-0 in their three-match One-Day International (ODI) series. Bangladesh are currently 1-0 ahead in this T20I series and this will be the final game of the tour. Live Cricket Scorecard: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T2oI at Dhaka
Live Cricket Score Zimbabwe 136/7 | 19.5 Overs | Batting: Graeme Cremer 34(21), Neville Madziva 28(19): What an incredible turn around. With 18 required off the final over, hopes were pinned on Waller but he got out off the very first ball by Nasir Hossain. Hopes were near zilch but Madziva resurrected them with a six of the next ball. He managed to scamper for two off the next and smashed a four of the fourth ball bringing the target down to six of 2 balls. Madziva decided against keeping it for the last ball and talked the fifth ball for a mammoth six sealing an improbable win for his country! OUT! Malcolm Waller 40(27) c Sabbir Rahman b Nasir Hossain
Live Cricket Score Zimbabwe 99/6 | 16 Overs | Batting: Malcolm Waller 34(21), Neville Madziva 0(1): ZImbabwe are back in this match with a bang. Malcolm Waller has proved his class today yet again and this time he has received support from Jongwe. But just when the partnership was growing threatening, Al-Amin Hossain made the breakthrough. OUT! Luke Jongwe 34 (38) c Imrul Kayes b Al-Amin Hossain
Live Cricket Score Zimbabwe 39/5 | 9 Overs | Batting: Malcolm Waller 0(2), Luke Jongwe 10(15): Looks like Zimbabwe are going to succumb to yet another horrid fate in the concluding match of the tour. No respite for them. They are losing a wicket almost every over, the target seems well out of reach now with half of Zimbabwean batsmen back in the hut. OUT! Regis Chakabva 4 (11) c Sabbir b Mustafizur, OUT! Craig Ervine 15 (17) run out, OUT! Elton Chigumbura 0(2) c Mahmadullah b Arafat Sunny
Live Cricket Score Zimbabwe 8/2 | 2 Overs | Batting: Regis Chakabva 1(4), Craig Ervine 1(1): That’s fall of the first wicket for Zimbabwe. And that’s fall of the next. Wickets of successive deliveries for Al-Amin Hossain! He’s on fire but both batsmen played ordinary shots to get out. Sikandar Raza drove away from the body with minimal foot movement and got an inside edge which was pouched by Mushfiqur Rahim in a sharp attempt. Sean Williams fell next ball getting an inside edge onto his stumps of an attempted push. Again there was no footwork. OUT! Sikandar Raza 5(6) c Mushfiqur Rahim b Al-Amin Hossain, OUT! Sean Williams 0(1) b Al-Amin Hossain
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 135/9 | 20 Overs | Batting: Al-Amin Hossain 1(2), Mustafizur Rahman 1(1): Bangladesh have crashed and burned in the last five overs. They only score 32 runs and lose five wickets, as Zimbabwe put in a wonderful display of death bowling. OUT! Mashrafe Mortaza 0(1) b Neville Madziva, Arafat Sunny 5(7) c Luke Jongwe b Tinashe Panayangara, Anamul Haque 47(51) run out
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 121/6 | 17 Overs | Batting: Anamul Haque 42(44): Anamul Haque is going well at the moment. He has taken his time to get going, but is now timing it well. Meanwhile Nasir Hossain is bowled by Tinashe Panayangara. Mahmudullah is the new batsman. And he starts off with a boundary! Bangladesh will look to accelerate now. They only have a middle score right now, and will want to get a few big hits in. Mahmudullah gets another boundary! And he’s gone! That was a great catch at cover. OUT! Nasir Hossain 3(5) b Tinashe Panayangara, Mahmudullah 8(4) c Luke Jongwe b Tinashe Panayangara
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 102/4 | 15 Overs | Batting: Nasir Hossain 1(1), Anamul Haque 33(40): That’s the end of a fantastic spell by Graeme Cremer. He’s been accurate and managed to get some turn and as reward he has picked two wickets including that of Sabbir Rahman in the previous over. Bangladesh need another 50 runs to have a solid total here. Cremer conceded just 21 runs in his four overs and took two wickets. OUT! Sabbir Rahman 17(18) lbw Cremer
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 82/3 | 12 Overs | Batting: Anamul Haque 22(29), Sabbir Rahman 14(12): Anamul and Sabbir settling into a good partnership and that is exactly the need for the hour. Zimbabwe will be worried if they don’t make a breakthrough in the following two or three overs.
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 63/3 | 9 Overs | Batting: Anamul Haque 15(21), Sabbir Rahman 2(2): Bangladesh have lost more wickets than they can be easy with at this stage. Zimbabwe will know that another two wickets will open up Bangladesh’s tail. Zimbabwe need to be persistent to maintain the advantage. Graeme Cremer took the wicket. OUT! Mushfiqur Rahim 9 (11) c Williams b Cremer
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 35/2 | 5 Overs | Batting: Anamul Haque 0(0), Mushfiqur Rahim 0(1): And that’s another wicket! Bangladesh had a good start but Zimbabwe have pegged them back by taking two quick wickets. Both openers have been sent on the way to the hut in consecutive overs. Imrul Kayes has fallen now. Tendai Chisoro makes the breakthrough with a less impressive ball. It was a bad shot by Kayes, placement was poor on the square cut and he was done in by a fantastic catch by Sean Williams. OUT! Imrul Kayes 10 (11) c Williams b Chisoro
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 34/1 | 4 Overs | Batting: Anamul Haque 0(0), Imrul Kayes 10(10): Tamim Iqbal was looking to get increasingly explosive but he’s thrown away a good start. Madziva has bowled well and deserved the wicket but not of that ball in particular. It was short and Tamim miscued the pull. Zimbabwe will take the wicket, important for them to maintain pressure. OUT! Tamim Iqbal 21(15) c Chigumbura b Madziva
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 14/0 | 2 Overs | Batting: Tamim Iqbal 8(7), Imrul Kayes 5(6): That was quite a good over by Neville Madziva but it was spoilt due to a no ball. The free hit was cashed in on by Tamim Iqbal with a six. Bangladesh have a good start already.
Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 5/0 | 1 Over | Batting: Tamim Iqbal 1 (3), Imrul Kayes 4 (3): It’s a fairly good start for Bangladesh in the first over. Only five runs off it but four runs came off a boundary on the last ball from the bat of Imrul Kayes. They’ve played the first over sensibly taking stock of the pitch.
TEAMS:
Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza (c), Mustafizur Rahman, Arafat Sunny, Al-Amin Hossain

TOSS: Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat
Zimbabwe have been able to register only one win on their tour so far, which came against the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI earlier in November. Zimbabwe have been on the receiving end for a long time against Bangladesh, as they were rammed 5-0 in a five-match ODI series last year as well.
In the first match of this T20I series, Bangladesh defeated the tourists by four wickets as they chased down a modest target without many difficulties. Thanks to a fighting innings of 68 from Malcolm Waller, Zimbabwe were able to post 131 on board before being dismissed from 19.3 overs. When Bangladesh came out to bat, their batsmen too had some issues batting on the track at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, but Zimbabwe weren’t threatening enough with a modest total to defend. Tamim Iqbal top-scored for Bangladesh with 31 as they won the game with 14 balls to spare and four wickets in hand.
