Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the Group A match in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2015-16 between Delhi and Haryana. Day three starts with a shocker for Delhi as Ashish Hooda got skipper Gautam Gambhir leg-before-wicket and the next batsman Mohit Ahlawat also departs for a duck. Unmukt Chand continued from there on and scored his 50 but got out on 68. The innings was studded with 11 fours. Wickets kept falling regularly as Milind Kumar who had just taken the crease got dismissed by Harshal Patel. Nitish Rana played a mentionable 48 runs knock. Pradeep Sangwan contributed a quick 34 off 48. Delhi’ innings ended for 237 having played 73.4 overs as they took a lead of 42 runs. READ: Ranji Trophy 2015-16, full coverage here

Haryana’s innings started and opener Chaitanya Bishnoi made an early exit making just 3 runs. Before the end of the day’s play, Haryana lost another wicket in the like of Rahul Dewan who scored 15 runs. Haryana skipper Virender Sehwag is still in the crease with Himanshu Rana. While the first contributed 29 runs off his 55 balls, Rana has scored 12 runs as of yet. Sehwag has not been seen in his usual aggressive form of batting. Stopping the fall of wickets to build up a good partnership being the reason behind, the captain seems to have taken up his responsibilities truly to make his team come out victorious. Whereas Delhi captain Gambhir would look forward to rotate his bowling options to get few more breakthrough, Haryana would likely be trying to play against the challenges the changing pitch of Feroze Shah Kotla on day 3 produce.
