Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the Group A match in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2015-16 between Delhi and Haryana. Delhi are well on course to win the match as they need more to win the match outright. They are already 69 for no loss with both their opeeners Unmukt Chand and Gautam Gambhir going great guns. It will be an herculean task for Haryana to get 10 wickets on the final day of the match, but they cannot do anything other than try at the moment. Virender Sehwag-led Delhi will look to put mote and more pressure on his former side Delhi and look to win the match, even though doesn’t look possible given the excellent form of the Delhi openers so far. Live cricket scores Delhi 225/6| Target 224 | Overs 68 | Batting: Milind 44(78), Pradeep Sangwan 11(36): Delhi win this match by four wickets. In an unbeaten seventh wicket partnership of 42 runs, Delhi’s lower batsman Pradeep Sangwan hung in with Milind who did bulk of the scoring. Unfortunately Milind could not reach his fifty but he was happy that he helped Delhi win this game. Delhi get six points and Haryana none for this match. Manan Sharma took 11 wickets in the match and Unmukt Chand made 167 runs in total in the match. He made 68 and 99 in Delhi’s first and second innings respectively. It was a close match. Haryana bowlers needed to pick just one more wicket when Delhi had reached 200 as Delhi’s last three tailenders who would had come next were not good with the bat, but all said and done that did not happen. Credit has to be given to Delhi batsmen who batted quite well.
Live cricket scores Delhi 200/6| Target 224 | Overs 61.1 | Batting: Milind 21(55), Pradeep Sangwan 11(17): Delhi have reached 200, they need just 24 runs to win this match now but cricket is known to be a game of glorious uncertainties, hence Haryana cannot be written off so easily. If Haryana bowlers are able to take the last four wickets quickly, quite similar to what Jharkhand bowlers did some minutes back in their Ranji Trophy 2015-16 match against Kerala which was happening simultaneously at Malappuram, Kerala; Haryana can pull off a less probable victory.
Live cricket scores Delhi 184/6| Target 224 | Overs 55.2 | Batting: Milind 17(36), Pradeep Sangwan 0(0): Delhi lose two more wickets in quick succession. The match can go either way right now. The game is in its climax and Delhi needs 40 runs to win but have only four wickets in hand. HV Patel takes his tally to four wickets by taking the wicket of Manan Sharma. Parvinder Awana and Ishant Sharma are next to come if any wicket falls. HV Patel is bowling pretty well. OUT! Yogesh Nagar b AH Hooda 4(29), Manan Sharma c Saini b HV Patel 5(10)
Live cricket scores Delhi 173/4| Target 224 | Overs 49 | Batting: Milind 14(22), Yogesh Nagar 1(15): Unmukt Chand is unlucky and misses out on his century by just one run. Delhi just need 51 runs to win and they have six wickets in hand. Delhi only need to give finishing touch to this match. They can only lose this match from here on if their batters do something very silly. HV Patel has picked three of the four Delhi wickets which have fallen so far. OUT! Unmukt Chand c Saini b AH Hooda 99(143)
Live cricket scores Delhi 156/3| Target 224 | Overs 42.4 | Batting: Unmukt Chand 97(138), Milind 2(1): Nitish Rana gets out on 16. Unmukt Chand is just three runs short of his century. He has hit 14 fours and one six in his 97 run knock so far. If he gets to his hundred, he will become the only batsman in this match to reach three figures. Delhi still have an upper hand. Milind who has just come to the crease has to give good support to Chand. Haryana need wickets. OUT! Nitish Rana c CK Bishnoi b HV Patel 16(46)
Live cricket scores Delhi 127/2| Target 224 | Overs 36 | Batting: Unmukt Chand 83(115), Nitish Rana 16(46): Both Unmuk Chand and Nitish Rana have struck a rapport. Chand is just 17 short of his hundred. He is batting quick too, maybe he wants to finish the game expeditiously. Delhi now need just 97 runs to win and they still have eight wickets in hand. Haryana needs quick wickets to get back into the match. HV Patel is the only bowler who has stood out but he cannot do everything on his own, he requires support from other bowlers as well.
Live cricket scores Delhi 97/2| Target 224 | Overs 28 | Batting: Unmukt Chand 63(92), Nitish Rana 11(24): Haryana take two back to back wickets of Gautam Gambhir and Mohit Ahlawat. HV Patel trapped both the batters leg-before-wicket. Gambhir will be more unhappy with his wicket since just when he was looking good after taking his time to settle down, he got out. Ahlawat scored a duck. Delhi needs 127 more runs to win, they are still in the driver’s seat but three more quick wickets and then the match can tilt towards Haryana. It’s getting interesting here in the national capital, let’s see who has the last laugh. OUT! Gautam Gambhir lbw HV Patel 20(56), Mohit Ahlawat lbw HV Patel 0(4)
Delhi will be extremely happy with the position they are in at the moment. As far as Haryana is concerned only their skipper Sehwag seems to be getting some runs with the bat, others will have to get into the act soon.
