Pakistan will be skippered by Bismah Maroof who will take over from Sana Mir in T20 format, while Javeria Wadoo will take over vice-captain duties from Maroof. Alex Hartley, left-arm spinner will be one of the new players in England Women’s squad. She has been chosen in the squad for the first two ODIs. The skipper was dismissed for 43 and fell short of 7 runs to achieve his fifty. Sidra Ameen is still playing well but is witnessing wickets go down. Another wicket that went down was Nain Abidi lbw by skipper Sciver for 14 off 12. They are also equally moving ahead with as they are already approaching the 100 mark now. England are trying their best to restrict Pakistan Women. Ameen is playing at 45. Sciver again and boundary this time by Ameen.

Maroof has also tagged along with Ameen for boundaries and has pushed for fifty mark. Although England Women are bowling maiden overs as well restricting the Pakistan Women time to time. Mahroof ended the 16th over with a boundary and Sciver was into attack.

They get their first target with Javeria Khan caught by Jones and Katherine Brunt getting her first wicket. Pakistan Women skipper Bismah Maroof enters the crease. Even Sidra Ameen is off the mark with boundaries. England will want to continue the form and get the game done immediately. At the moment Sidra Ameen is in complete command of the game and Brunt is the new bowler on crease.

The match was abandoned on Monday thanks to the rains. Pakistan Women are off to slow start and looking to find the right gap. Anya Shrubsole started the attack for England where she conceded just a single run. At the end of the 6th over, Javeria Khan was off the mark and she gets her first boundary.

Pakistan women are ranked seventh on the ICC Women’s Championship table with 8 points from 12 games, while England women are a place above them at sixth with 13 points. Heather Knight will succeed retired batting great Charlotte Edwards as captain of the England women’s team, it was announced on Friday. Knight’s first series as skipper will come when England are at home to Pakistan in three one-day internationals later in June.

Anya Shrusbole has been named as the vice-captain of England. Katherine Brunt will aspire to pick up her 100th wicket in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Amy Jones will be the wicketkeeper whereas Lauren Winfield, top-order batswoman can also keep wickets. David Cameron welcomes Pakistan men and women’s team to England

Under their leadership we will start a new chapter for the England women’s team, beginning with the three-match Royal London ODI series against a Pakistan side that cannot be underestimated.”
