Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Quarter-Final 3 of the ongoing ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The match will be played between England Under-19 and Sri Lanka Under-19 sides at Mirpur , Dhaka. Both England and Sri Lanka have played three matches apiece. England were table topper in their Group C winning all three matches, while Sri Lanka were second in their Group B winning two and losing one match. England will want to continue their winning streak as Sri Lanka will look to once again topple them with their spinners. Sri Lanka in their last match suffered defeat from the hand of Pakistan losing by 23 runs, where as England crushed Zimbabwe by 129 runs. Charith Asalanka has played well making 34 runs off 57 balls hitting six four’s.Needing only 185 to win Sri Lanka managed it in only 35. overs.

Avishka Fernando ahs looked good after completing his half-century, which include eight fours and a massive six.

Avishka has managed to make most of the runs, hitting seven boundaries in his 35*. Kaveen on the other hand has looked more calm and composed in his innings of 11.

George Bertlett was picked up by Kamindu Mendis for 25 runs. After fumbling the ball Thilan Nimesh has managed to pick up a lovely rebound catch at covers. Earlier Sam Curran was picked up by Ashan, Curran was looking dangerous in his short stay at the crease making 25 off 35 balls.

England have been one of the top side in this tournament winning all their matches very convincingly. In their first match they blew away Fiji by bowling them for just 72 runs, wining the match by a huge 299 run margin. The second match was rather more humane as they defeated West Indies by 61 runs at Chittagong.They went back to their un-resentful ways toppling Zimbabwe for just 159 runs chasing 288 runs. Sri Lanka started off well keeping Canada batsmen under 119 defending a total of 315 runs. Second match against Afghanistan was a topsy-turvy affair as they managed only 184 runs but where able to get them out for 151. Third match against sub-continent opponents had a much different result as they just lost out by a matter of 23 runs, to come second in the group.
