Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the first tour match for South Africa, against India A at the Air Force Ground in Palam in New Delhi on Tuesday. This will be a Twenty20 match as the tourists will be playing a T20 International series first, against India on their marathon tour, which will go on for about 72 days. The South Africans do not have the likes of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel with them in the T20I leg of their series in India, and it will be very crucial for the likes of Imran Tahir, Albie Morkel, Khaya Zondo and Kagiso Rabada to get a hang of the situations they are going to experience further on this tour. INDIA A: 193/2 | Overs 19.4: India A skipper Mandeep Singh had to face just seven deliveries following the excellent opening partnership between Mayank Agarwal 87(49) and Manan Vohra 56(42). Both the openers looked unstoppable at one moment, however they failed to bat till the end and their wickets just turned out to be a consolation for the visitors who clearly were dominated by the Indian batsmen. Earlier in the day, South Africans had posted 189 in 20 overs, with JP Duminy being their top-scorer for his 32-ball 68 that was inclusive of six sixes and two fours.

Mandeep Singh might have turned up to field for South Africa A when the tourists lost as many as 10 players to disorders caused by food earlier this year, but he will be looking to go all guns blazing in this match. South African batting mainstay Hashim Amla will not be playing in this match, as reports had earlier said that the right-handed batsman, who is their captain in Test cricket, will be starting the preps for this tour only on Wednesday.
