Sachin Tendulkar will be in limelight playing his final Test of his career as India and West Indies play the second Test at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
The pitch has some grass and moisture and the pacers will fancy their chances in bowling on the green wicket. India won the toss and elected to bowl.
The Indian bowling banked on Mohammed Shami during the last game. He complemented Bhuvneshwar Kumar well and this combination is likely to keep Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma out, unless the Indian management pull a rabbit out of the hat and field one of them. Ravichandran Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha would continue to be India’s main spinners. Ashwin also provides that extra cushion with the bat. And not to forget the off-spinner is just three wickets away from completing 100 Test wickets.
West Indies will definitely be disappointed by their performance in the first Test having vowed to spoil Tendulkar’s party. They had a few moments when they were dominating the game, but let the advantage go. Shane Shillingford dominated the Indian top-order with his off-spinning variety and would look forward to bowl on the track at Mumbai. All eyes would be on him when West Indies bowl.
