Hosts Zimbabwe take on world No 1 side India in the third One-Day International (ODI) match of the series at Harare on Sunday.
India won the toss and elected to field.
Having lost both the matches in the series so far, Zimbabwe will have to secure a victory to have any chances of winning the series.
Openers Sikandar Raza and Vusi Sibanda have got Zimbabwe off to good stable starts. However, they haven’t been able to capitalize on it. There have been a few good performances at the individual level for the hosts and they could actually prove to be a threat if they fire in unison. And as their coach Andy Waller said, their dream of beating India in one of the five matches, could well come true.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli would have been extremely happy with his team and also his own form. Jaydev Unadkat’s exploits with the ball in the previous match has been the brightest news for India. He would hope that the other youngsters also make the best use of the opportunity.
Teams:
Zimbabwe: Vusi Sibanda, Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Hamilton Masakadza, Brendan Taylor (c & wk), Malcolm Waller, Elton Chigumbara, Prosper Utseya, Michael Chinouya, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Tendai Chatara.
India: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Vinay Kumar, Shami Ahmed, Jaydev Unadkat, Amit Mishra.
