(Can KKR extend their unbeaten run to 14 or will Hobart Hurricanes topple the IPL champions. Catch live cricket score and live updates of the match here)

Six required from the over and it takes just one ball to finish it! Kallis swings one and Hilfenhaus makes an error in judgment and drops it on the boundary line. It’ll be an all-IPL final. KKR extend their winning streak to 14 matches.

Douherty enters the attack and Kallis welcomes him by charging down the track and dispatching it for a HUGE SIX! The legend has saved his best knock for the semi-finals. Great over for KKR. 11 from it.

What an over from Gulbis! He had kept it tight until Pathan dispatched one toward the boundary in the last ball. Tense moments here. 17 required from 2. Bollinger and Douherty to bowl the last two.

Boundaries have dried up for KKR, but the equation is still well under their control. A couple of big shots and they’ll be within touching distance of victory. Bollinger and Douherty have an over left, and both of them will have to bowl out of their skins to help Hobart win.

Just 36 required from the last 5 overs, and Ben Laughlin enters the attack. Manish Pandey tries to hit him for a big shot, but the ball falls straight into the hands of Shoaib Malik. Yusuf Pathan comes in to bat for KKR,
OUT! M Pandey c Shoaib Malik b B Laughlin 40(32)

Captain Douherty returns to bowl for Hobart. Things look bleak for the Australian side. He doesn’t concede a boundary, but KKR batsman won’t mind that. They take 5 from the over in singles.

Bollinger returns! Manish Pandey hits him for a SIX. What a gem of a knock from him. That too at the big stage. Kallis too has come good.

Hilfenhaus returns, and picks up a wicket! Manish Pandey is gone. But, oh wait – it’s a no-ball. Disappointing for Hobart. Luck going in KKR’s favour. What’s worse? It’s a free hit. And Pandey makes the most of it, and clobbers it for a FOUR! He goes again and manages another FOUR. 11 off the over. KKR looking to finish it early now.

Ben Laughlin enters the attack, and Manish Pandey uses his wrists to glide two consecutive boundaries! Poor from Laughlin. Match slipping away from Hobart’s grasp. They need something miraculous to win it from here. Meanwhile, Gavaskar makes things interesting in the commentary box by using the Hinglish phrase ”’lagaoing it”. Pommie Mbangwa is amused.

Boundaries coming thick and fast for the KKR side! The extras are not helping the Hurricanes’ either. These two batsman have helped KKR recover after Gambhir’s dismissal.

Laughlin comes in to bowl Over No 10. And it turns out to be a bad one for the Australia T20 side. Both Pandey and Kallis are able to dispatch him for a boundary. Pressure created by the earlier bowlers has eased now. Kallis is really firing in the all-important semi.

Gulbis returns to bowl for Hobart. He doesn’t do a bad job, and keeps it tight. Just 4 from the over. It is crucial for Hobart to pick wickets at regular intervals.

Captain Douherty comes back and makes the crucial breakthrough. Robin Uthappa is gone! Extremely important wicket for Hobart. They’re still behind in the game, but a couple of more wickets can change things. Disappointing knock from Uthappa. He hit three boundaries but played too many dot balls too.
OUT! R Uthappa b Doherty 17(21)

Evan Gulbis, who played a nice cameo with the bat, enter the attack. Both batsman dealing in singles at the moment. The equation is in their favour, and if they rotate the strike and just hit an occasional boundary or six, they’ll get there. 5 from the over.

Captain Xavier Douherty comes in to bowl for Hobart. He’s been in great form and has bowled stingy spells in the previous matches. But, Uthappa is a different breed of batsman to bowl to. He dispatches Douherty for a four first ball. Kallis too gets in the mix and clears the infield to find the boundary. 10 from the over.

Hilfenhaus comes back to bowl his third. Kallis is able to dispatch him for a boundary! Hobart have pulled things back a bit, after a poor start but they need to pick up more wickets.

Bollinger returns and makes the breakthrough! KKR lose their first. Gambhir goes back. Hobart aren’t going down without a fight. South African legend Jacques Kallis (who recently retired from international cricket recently) comes in to bat. Will he make a big impact in this semi-final?
OUT! Gautam Gambhir c Wells b Bollinger 4 (11)

Hilfenhaus returns, and does a better job than in his first over. Six dots and a wide. Just one run. KKR still well in control of the match though.

Bollinger enters the attack, and was bowling a good over until a short ball goes above Uthappa’s head and misses the wicketkeeper too. 5 Wides. 10 from the over. KKR have made a solid start.

Bearded Ben Hilfenhaus opens the bowling for Hobart. Robin Uthappa, whose hunger for runs in KKR shirt is insatiable, starts well once again. He manages to clear the boundary twice in two balls in the first over. Hilfenhaus comes back well, and bowls three dots.

Andre Russell to bowl the last over. Malik on strike. He takes a single. Gulbis fails to rotate next ball, and goes for big hit after that. The ball falls in Manish Pandey’s hand but he drops it. It doesn’t hurt KKR as Gulbis is run out in the fourth ball. Hilfenhaus comes on strike and is served a short ball straightaway. He takes a single. Malik ends it with a boundary! Great face saving knock from him.
OUT! E Gulbis run out (M Pandey/Uthappa) 15 (8)
Kuldeep Yadav returns and gets the treatment from Malik this time. He brings up his half-century with a BIG SIX! What great hitting by him in his wife’s hometown. 21 from the over.

Narine returns to the attack. And the ball catches Gulbis’ top-edge and goes high, but Robin Uthappa doesn’t read it and stays rooted to the ground. A missed chance there! Fine over from Narine again. Just 7 from it.

Chawla returns and gets a wicket in the very first ball. Jonathan Wells who struggled in the last over, departs. He makes room to hit Chawla, but the ball misses his bat and hits the stump. Malik has to do the job for Hobart from hereon. Evan Gulbis will give him support. Gulbis does better than his predecessor, and finds the fence in the last two balls.
OUT! Jonathan Wells b Chawla 3(6)

Kuldeep Yadav returns and delivers yet again! Jonathan Wells gives away dot balls and Hobart get just 3 from the over.

Chawla returns! Malik goes for his shot, and it doesn’t clear the boundary but doesn’t find the fielder either. He goes for it again in the fifth ball and the ball goes high and falls deep into the crowd. Some spectator catches it and he is jubilant. 10 from the over.

Narine returns and Malik shows him why Asians are such good players of spin. A late cut sees the ball rush past the boundary! Birt must look to give Malik as much strike as possible now, since he is the man who can play spin. Birt doesn’t do his job, and is caught by ten Doeschate at deep mid wicket. Narine gets his first!
OUT! Birt c ten Doeschate b Narine 13(23)

Chawla continues! And Malik finally manages to break his shackles. Manages to make room and clear one away for A SIX! Will he break the shackles and get Hobart to a fighting total from hereon. 2 overs from Narine still remaining.

Andre Russell returns! Finally some respite from spin for the Hobart batsmen. Birt clobbers a shot in the fourth ball, but isn’t able to get it away. Just a single from that shot. Credit to KKR for keeping the intensity going even after making a good start.

Piyush Chawla comes into the attack for the first time in the match. Birt taking his time at the crease. Both batsman are looking a little unsure playing their shots, and aren’t able to connect well. Just 4 off the over. HH need to get going, and that too soon!

Yusuf Pathan to bowl his last over! He has been tidy so far, and being a huge asset for his team. Gambhir’s captaincy should also be appreciated. He is yet to unleash Piyush Chawla on Hobart. 6 from the over. Pathan concedes just 24 in his quota of 4!

Kuldeep Yadav strikes in his first ball! Ben Dunk, who was looking in great touch, once again falls prematurely! Big blow for Hobart. They haven’t kept their nerve in this all-important semi-final. 19-year-old Kuldeep Yadav has. A wicket and 2 runs from that over.
OUT! Ben Dunk c Gambhir b Kuldeep Yadav 39 (29)

Yusuf Pathan returns to bowl his third. KKR are mainly a spin-bowling attack. The two batsman fail to get him away for a boundary but run well between the wickets. 6 from the over.

19-year-old Kuldeep Yadav enters the attack, and almost picks up a wicket. Dunk almost hits one straight to Pathan, who would have caught it easily had he been Jonty Rhodes. Fine over from the youngster. Just 5 from it.

Sunil Narine returns to pull things back for KKR. He bowls a tight over, until Dunk manages to get him away for a boundary! Hobart Hurricanes picking up their scoring rate now. Dunk looking dangerous.

Andre Russell returns, and he is welcomed with a boundary! Dunk doesn’t stop there and goes for a big shot in the fourth ball. Doesn’t time it well, but there’s no fielder to stop it from going away to boundary. Luck continues for him as an outside edge goes past the wicketkeeper for another four. 12 from the over. All runs coming from boundaries.

Sunil Narine whose action was recently reported, comes into the attack for KKR. He looks calm as ever, and doesn’t allow Dunk and Malik to get away. Pressure building on Hobart batsman now.

Pathan has been given another over, and it was turning out to be a bad decision by Gautam Gambhir. Dunk hits him for a huge six! But, Pathan comes back well and sends Aiden Blizzard packing in the first delivery of his innings. There was a big inside edge, and Pathan is lucky to get that. Major setback for Hobart. Blizzard was in great form for them. Shoaib Malik walks in to bat for Hurricanes.
OUT! Aiden Blizzard lbw Pathan 0 (1)

Andre Russell to bowl the second over. Hobart Hurricanes are not being able to find the boundary. Dom Michael is going for his shots, but the ball is missing his bat. He is foxed by the last delivery, and hits one straight back to Russell. Great start for KKR!
OUT! Dom Michael c&b Russell 0 (6)

Yusuf Pathan to open the bowling for KKR. Dom Michael accompanies Ben Dunk at the start in the absence of Tim Paine. The first ball falls right in the slot, and Dunk plays it cautiously. He manages to pierce the gap third ball, to take two runs. Tidy start for KKR. Intorducing Pathan at the start is a strategy that is working for Gambhir.

I am Sameer Jha and I will be bringing the live updates of the match. There’s no doubt that KKR will be strong favourites to go in to the final. They are unbeaten in the last 13 matches.
