The decision may backfire, that instead of aiming for a victory, they might lose the match. ROI can draw the game as not many overs are left. However, the approach they are adopting is quite good. He hit nine fours en route the milestone. Karun Nair needs 12 more runs to get to his half century. Rest of India now require 242 more runs to win the match. It has been some really special batting display from Rest of India but if they wish to win the game, they will have to bat well and bat quick. Leaving that aside, it is better that they divide all the remaining overs into a few parts and play as per the need of the match situation and the strength of the bowler. Trying to bat at a brisk pace, may result in them to lose wickets. They may try doing that a little later.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Rest of India 172/1 | Overs 61| Target 480 | BATSMEN: Faiz Fazal 79(168), Sudip Chatterjee 51(83): Mumbai bring in Iqbal Abdulla. They will be hoping that he succeeds in breaking the current partnership. He bowled well in the first innings and would want to come up with a similar performance in the second. ROI still have a long way to go. They now require 308 more runs to win the match. Iqbal is playing with his variations quite a lot.

Faiz Fazal has gone past his half century. He has hit six shots to the fence in his innings so far. Abhishek Nayar and Balwinder Sandhu are bowling currently. ROI need 355 more runs to win.

Rest of India would want that the second-wicket partnership between Faiz Fazal and Sudip Chatterjee grows and blossoms. It fetched Rest of India 34 runs on the penultimate day of the match. Today, the final day is expected to be very exciting and if Rest of India continue to bat the way they did yesterday, then there is a good chance that Mumbai will have to fight hard for a win. Mumbai are in commanding position and would be hoping to win by a huge margin. A thumping victory in Irani Cup will boost their morale as they are up against the very best in Indian domestic cricket. Abhishek Nayar bowled very well in the first innings and if he repeats the feat again, Mumbai can certainly win the game handsomely.
