Rest of India were 100 for the loss of one wicket at stumps on day 4 of Irani Trophy 2015-16 match against Mumbai. Faiz Fazal and Sudip Chatterjee were batting on 41 and 17 respectively. Rest of India will need 380 more runs to win on the final day of the match. Rest of India got off to a slow and steady start in their chase of Mumbai’s mammoth 479. They were 35 for no loss at the end of 11 overs with Faiz Fazal scoring 10 off 31 and Srikar Bharat 25 from 35 balls. They were up against Shardul Thakur and Dhawal Kulkarni, who had opened the proceedings for Mumbai. When Bharat was batting on 42, he was cleaned up by Iqbal Abdulla. Earlier, in the morning today Mumbai were bowled out for a paltry 182. They suffered a lower-order batting collapse losing their last four wickets for only 18 runs. Earlier, Mumbai lost four wickets in quick succession today morning. They were two runs for the loss of one yesterday but they could add just 127 more runs and lost four of their major wickets— Shreyas Iyer, Jay Gokul Bista, Aditya Tare and Suryakumar Yadav in the endeavour. Suryakumar was unlucky to be dismissed for just a run short off his fifty. Before him, Bista contributed with a brisk 38 off only 30 balls. Shreyas Iyer was out for naught whereas Aditya Tare scored six runs. Mumbai were 62 for 4 when Suryakumar Yadav and Siddhesh Lad made a 54-run fifth wicket stand. Abhishek Nayar replaced Suryakumar. Nayar did not trouble the scorers as he got out for five. Dhawal Kulkarni then tried to give Siddhesh Lad good support as he scored two off 27 balls. He tried hard to hang in there but could not carry for long. Lad went on to score 60 with the help of six boundaries and a six. For Rest of India, Jayant Yadav took a four-wicket-haul while Jaydev Unadkat scalped three. Stuart Binny picked up a couple while Krishna Das also took a wicket.
