Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the second and the final day of the 1st warm-up fixture of England‘s tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in which they are up against the Pakistan ‘A’ team in a two-day affair at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in Sharjah. At stumps of Day one, the visitors were 286 for five from their 90 overs, with Jonny Bairstow 66(112) and Adil Rashid 51(81) on the crease. It is good news for them as their skipper Alastair Cook looked in good touch in the Asian conditions before he was dismissed for a 130-ball 53. Joe Root who looked untroubled frustrating the young Pakistan’s attack was retired hurt while he was on an unbeaten 59. Meanwhile, spinner Zafar Gohar bagged three crucial wickets in his 22 overs.
