Good Morning, शुभ प्रभात! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of Day Four of Round Four of the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 on Saturday. I am Paulumi Chakraborty, and I will be bringing to you the live updates from today’s actions. Friday’s action was ruled by top sides like Bengal, Punjab, Mumbai and Gujarat and Kerala. They are on verge of victories, and will like to complete formalities on the final day’s play. From the batting perspective, Mayank Agarwal dominated with an unbeaten triple century for Karnataka. Apart from all the cricketing action, a bizarre incident took place in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh’s encounter in New Delhi. A man, driving a WagonR, entered the ground due to lack of security and took few rounds before heading to the parking lot. A picture of the incident emerged on social media wherein Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma and Manan Sharma were left amused with the car parked on the centre of the turf.
Adding to the incident, BCCI acting president CK Khanna told PTI, “The BCCI will enquire into the incident. The relevant department will get in touch with the Services Sports Control Board as this is a matter of serious concern. This is a breach of security measure at the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) ground. Imagine if the man had any sinister motive, then lives of international cricketers could have been in danger,” added Khanna.
