Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Scotland vs Afghanistan, 1st One-Day International (ODI) at Edinburg. I am Ayush Gupta, and I will be ringing toy you the live updates from this game. It is the first match of the 2-ODI series being played by Scotland and Afghanistan. Regular skippers Peter Mommsen and Asghar Stanikzai will lead Scotland and Afghanistan respectively. Afghanistan’s last ODI series came in the beginning of the year when they thrashed Zimbabwe in a 5-match series at Sharjah.  Afghanistan are clearly dependent on a couple of players for good results. The likes of Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Shahzad, Samiullah Shenwari will all need to be at their best if the Afghans need to win this 2-match series.
