Man of the Match: Milinda Siriwardana.

Man of the Series: Rangana Herath.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 171  in Overs 65.5; BATTING: Jomel Warrican 20(27): And Sri Lanka finally are the winners! Herath is the man who does the job of taking the winning wicket, trapping Kemar Roach lbw to dismiss him for 13 off 35 balls. The second Test has mostly belonged to the spinners, with Herath and Siriwardana getting four and three scalps against their credit respectively. Resuming from their score of 112 for 4 after lunch, the visitors lost the wickets of Ramdin, Bravo and Holder in quick succession, knocking the contest out of the game in a complete sense. It was only a formality thereafter, as West Indies managed to delay the inevitable for some time before Herath wiped the remainder of the batting order out. OUT! Jason Holder lbw Milinda Siriwardana 7(17), Jerome Taylor c Milinda Siriwardana b Rangana Herath 1(6), Devendra Bishoo run out 0(1), Kemar Roach lbw Rangana Herath 13(35)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 125/6  in Overs 52; BATTING: Jason Holder 1(1), Kemar Roach 0(1): West Indies resume from their score of 112 for four, and Bravo and Ramdin add a few runs before Rangana Herath’s double strike in the 52nd over reduces the visitors to a disastrous-looking 125 for 6, which has pretty much wiped out all hopes for the visitors to level the series by now. The Sri Lankans are clear favourites, unless skipper . OUT! Angelo Mathews b Rangana Herath 10(41), Darren Bravo c Angelo Mathews b Rangana Herath 61(134)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 112/4  in Overs 45; BATTING: Darren Bravo 48 (88), Denesh Ramdin 4(26): The teams break for lunch after the passage of 36 overs in the morning session which has seen the visitors score 92 runs for the loss of three wickets for to reach a score of 112 for 4. Blackwood is their latest dismissal, after he gets trapped off the bowling of Milinda Siriwardana for a score of 4 off 11 balls. Bravo and Ramdin, along with skipper Jason Holder, must build partnerships in order to keep their hopes for victory alive. OUT! Jermaine Blackwood lbw Milinda Siriwardana

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 101/3  in Overs 37; BATTING: Darren Bravo 48 (88), Jermaine Blackwood 4 (10): GONE!!!! And it’s the veteran Marlon Samuels, who falls for mere six after being caught by Mathews off Dilruwan Perera. This is what they need to avoid at all costs, the collapse is indeed dangerous and could hurt them in no time, as Jermaine Blackwood makes his way in. OUT! Marlon Samuels c Angelo Mathews b Dilruwan Perera 6 (27)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 80/2  in Overs 27; BATTING: Darren Bravo 40 (64), Marlon Samuels 0 (1): GONE!!!! Shai Hope falls for 35 to Siriwardana as he is stumped by Kusal Perera, and the 60-run stand for the second wicket is broken. Veteran Marlon Samuels makes his way in. Another slow six overs for West Indies as they continue to bat comfortably and score steadily. However, they must sure that they do not lose wickets, as few loss of wickets here could possibly lead to a massive collapse, and being near to the victory, they just can’t afford to be sloppy.

OUT! Shai Hope st Kusal Perera by Milinda Siriwardana 37 (72)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 63/1  in Overs 20; BATTING: Shai Hope 33 (60), Darren Bravo 25 (41): The slow start to their day still continues as West Indies are on their quest to chase down a target of 244 to be won by them by the end of the day. With ample amount of time and nine wickets in the bag, it should be an easy task for them unless there is a massive meltdown.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE West Indies 49/1  in Overs 15; BATTING: Shai Hope 28( 43), Darren Bravo 16 (23): Play for day 5 begins with West Indies at 20-1. After losing Kraigg Brathwaite, West Indies team will depend a lot upon how the other opener Shai Hope and number three Darren Bravo scores. The morning saw some beautiful boundaries to uplift Windies’ hopes.

The third day of the match was levelled equally among both the teams. The day before, the Lankan side had a score of 76 for two and West Indies bowling attack compelled them to end it all up at 206 bagging all the wickets. A huge turnaround of the  match has been the performance of Brathwaite, who is consideredas a part-time bowler but emerged as the highest wicket-taker, taking 6 for 29 in his 11.3 overs. But the Sri Lankan bowlers have also made their mark already as an experienced Dhammika Prasad removed the opponent’s most dependable batsman Brathwaite.

The initial two innings also saw a low score as debutant Jomel Warrican bore holes in the Lankan batting taking 4 wickets. Sri Lanka were bowled out by 200 and the total seemed easily achievable but West Indies batting line-up failed miserably scoring 163 runs only. Dhammika Prasad turned out to be the best bowler for Sri Lanka taking 4 wickets. West Indies now need 224 runs to win this match. After no play in fourth day, the evenly poised game is all set to see who picks up the victory on the fifth day.
