Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Haryana and Jharkand, Group B match of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy at Alur Cricket Stadium 3, Bangalore. While both the sides have won two games each from the three games they have played so far, Haryana top the table with their opponents on the third spot due to a lesser run rate. Jharkand won their last fixture against Kerala by five wickets. On the other hand, Haryana thrashed Jammu and Kashmir in their previous game by 10 wickets. Jharkand played their opening match at the same ground against Jammu and Kashmir. The contest eventually turned into a thriller as Jharkand won just by five runs. Meanwhile, Haryana also played their first match at the same ground with the result ending in their favour. In the second game against Gujarat for Jharkand when MS Dhoni top-scored with 44 in 64 balls. His innings that included four boundaries was brought to an end by Jasprit Bumrah in the 44th over. After Dhoni, Jharkand opening batsman Ishank Jaggi was the second top-scorer with his 34 runs in 58 deliveries he had faced. Batting first, Varun Aaron’s men posted a first innings total of 177 runs before their opponents chased the total down with 10 overs to spare.

Even Haryana lost their second fixture. They faced the defending champions Karnataka with the latter winning it by 38 runs. Batting first, Karnataka posted 242 runs in their first innings before Haryana were bundled out for 204 runs in 46.3 overs. The wickets were shared between Karnataka’s Abhimanyu Mithun, Vinay Kumar, Stuart Binny, Srrenath Aravind and J Suchith.
