West Indies, after conceding the first T20, will look to make a comeback in the second encounter to tie the series ahead of the Test series.
Australia won the first T20 comprehensively by eight wickets and they will be aiming for the whitewash. West Indies are without Andre Russell and Darren Bravo has been dropped.
Sammy said the series would also signal the start of their preparation for the World Twenty20 Championship in September.
