Good Afternoon/Morning, नमस्कार, Goeie middag & Tráthnóna maith! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the Women’s Quadrangular series 2017. Two matches are scheduled to be played today. India Women will take o South Africa Women in the first match at the North-West University No1 Ground, Potchefstroom. Ireland Women will lock horns with Zimbabwe Women at the Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. The participating teams will play two matches each with the other teams in the tournament, one each at the two venues. Both India Women and South Africa Women have won one match each while Zimbabwe Women and Ireland are yet to bag their first victory. South Africa, in the first match of the tournament, handed Zimbabawe a humiliating defeat. They first restricted Zimbabwe at 78. Only two Zimbabwe players could register double-digit scores. Sabnim Ismail picked up a 5-for while Raisibe Ntozakhe. Lizelle Lee, Laura Wolvaardt and Trisha Chetty comfortably chased down the runs within 12 overs. Nomatter Mutasa was the only successful bowler for Zimbabwe.

In the other match, India restricted Ireland at 96. Only four players registered double-digit scores. Ekta Bisht and Deepti Sharma ran through the batting line-up, taking 3 wickets each. Deepti later scored an unbeaten 51, building up an unbeaten 99-run partnership with Poonam Raut to take the side to victory.
