    IND Win: India win by 10 wickets with 188 balls to spare. Deepti Sharma remained unbeaten on 51 off 47 and Poonam Raut was unbeaten on 46 off 65. Deepti had an excellent day with the ball as well, finishing with figures of 3 for 20. With this win, India are off the mark in the quadrangular tournament. They take on South Africa on Tuesday next.

    SA win: South Africa Women thrash Zimbabwe Women by 8 wickets with 230 balls to spare. It took South Africa just 11.4 overs to chase down their target of 79. Laura Wolvaardt scored 28, while wicketkeeper Trisha Chetty remained unbeaten on 25. South Africa are off the mark in the quadrangular series in a spectacular fashion

    IRE bowled out: Ireland Women have been bowled out for just 96. Ekta Bisht and Deepti Sharma picked up three wickets a piece to put India in a dominating position. Jennifer Gray top-scored for Ireland with 24 off 38, which included three boundaries.

    SA off to good start: SA need just 79 to win from their 50 overs. They have made an excellent start. However, they have lost the wicket of Lizelle Lee for 21 off 16. They are going at over 6 an over and by the looks of it, they will reach their target within 10-12 overs. In the other match, Ireland Women have scrapped their way to 82/7 in 40 overs. Ekta Bisht has been outstanding for India. She finishes with figures of 3 for 24 from her 10 overs.

    ALL OUT! Zimbabwe Women have been bowled out for just 78. SA fast bowler Shabnim Ismail was the pick of the bowlers finishing with figures of 5 for 25 from 8.5 overs. SA will now have to chase down just 79 in their 50 overs, after they were asked to field first. In the other match, India continue to remain on top against Ireland. Ireland have lost half their side for just 55 in the 32nd over. India have a golden chance to bowl Ireland out for under 100 as well.

    ZIM in deep trouble: Zimbabwe have lost 7 wickets inside 20 overs and now stand a chance of being bowled out for well under 100. Shabnim Ismail has been brilliant, having picked up 3 wickets already, Raisibe Ntozakhhe has chipped in with a couple of wickets as well. In the other match between India and ireland, Ireland have managed to score just 31 in 21 overs, having lost a couple of wickets.

There will be two matches played in the tournament today, with India Women taking on Ireland Women at North-West University No1 Ground, Potchefstroom in first match of the day and South Africa Women facing Zimbabwe Women at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom in the other match. India Women are in a very good form currently and had beaten Zimbabwe Women in the warm-up game convincingly. South Africa Women will be the favourites of the other match as they defeated Ireland Women with ease in their warm-up game and are in a good form as well. This quadrangular series is a good way to prepare for the umcoming ICC Women’s World Cup, which begins towards the end of June. India and South Africa will begin that tournament as prime contenders, but cannot afford to take other teams lightly. However, the team winning this turnament will have the psychological edge in the World Cup. Mithali Raj-led India will look to win today’s match and march on to the rest of the tournament with a positive frame of mind.
