Hello, good evening and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and updates post for the 17th match in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS). This is Pramod Ananth, and I will be bringing you the live cricket scores and updates of the clash which will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Both teams have played 4 games so far and have won just one while losing the rest three and hence are currently lying at the bottom of the IPL 2017 points table with RCB at No. 6 whereas RPS are at the bottom with the Net Run Rate (NRR) being the difference between the two. RCB and RPS have been marred with consistency in IPL 2017. RCB played their initial games without Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. But despite these two stalwarts making their comeback, fortunes for RCB are yet to change in this 10th edition of IPL. On the other hand, RPS are yet to find their team combination right. In spite of having all their chief players in the playing XI, RPS are still scraping the bottom of the IPL 10 points table. Moreover, with MS Dhoni being out of touch, a certain sect of fans want Dhoni to be axed for the forthcoming games.

What is more interesting about this game is the fact that Kohli and Smith will be facing each other yet again after the riveting India-Australia Test series. Various incidents throughout the four-game Tests had intensified the rivalry. So it will be interesting to see how these two heavyweights go about when they face each other in this game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Kedar Jadhav (wk), Pawan Negi, Mandeep Singh, Stuart Binny, Tymal Mills, Sreenath Aravind, Samuel Badree, Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal Patel, Adam Milne, Sarfaraz Khan, Shane Watson, Iqbal Abdulla, Travis Head, Sachin Baby, Avesh Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi, Praveen Dubey, Aniket Choudhary, Billy Stanlake, Vishnu Vinod.
