Mithali Raj to be part of ‘We The Women’ festival

Indian women skipper Mithali Raj has gained immense fame following their prolific run in the 2017 ICC Women's World Cup in England.

India Women skipper Mithali Raj has joined a campaign by the name of ‘We The Women’, presented by Facebook and UN Women and curated by journalist Barkha Dutt. Mithali will be along with author-producer-actor Twinkle Khanna, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and Union Minister Smriti Irani. The festival is slated to be held on Saturday and Sunday, and will be open to both men and women. The speakers during the festival will range from political leaders to sports personalities to actors to artists to singers. Happy Birthday, Mithali Raj! The festival and idea is themed on ‘Opening Doors’, and it is slated to offer space for conversation, camaraderie, networking and more. The festival will feature food stalls, a flea market and artwork, which is to be curated by Godrej India Culture Lab’s Parmesh Shahahni. The panel will be led by Twinkle and Arunachalam Muruganantham. Union Minister Harsimrat Badal, Olympic medal winner Sakshi Malik, corporate leader Roshni Nadar, lawyer Pallavi Shroff and hip-hop sensation Ginni Mahi are scheduled to be present as well. The live music will be performed by Farhan and World Music band Maati Baani, as reported by IANS.
