Although votes have been cast, Pakistan appears to be no closer to resolving the conflict between former cricketer Imran Khan’s PTI and Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League. While Imran Khan’s party appears to be in a slight lead, it is still a few seats short of the majority. In the midst of this standoff, with no clear solution in sight, Pakistani batsman Mohammad Amir posted a mysterious message on social media mentioning former captain Imran Khan, capturing the attention of the whole Pakistan cricketing fraternity.
“Batsman, who are you gazing at? A wonderful picture),” Amir commented on X with an image of Imran Khan.
According to Geo News, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued orders to perform re-elections at various polling stations around the country after verifying allegations of voting materials being snatched and damaged.
After overcoming all challenges in conducting countrywide elections on February 8, the poll organising authority is currently in the final stages of revealing vote results as the compilation process reaches its 48th hour.

According to Geo News, the commission responded to reports from around the country about cases of seizing and destroying voting materials at various polling sites, leading local election officials to postpone voting procedures.
In a new development, the highest electoral authority has planned re-voting at various polling sites for February 15. The results from these polling locations will be revealed after the re-polling operation is complete.
The ECP has ordered re-voting at 25 polling stations in that particular seat due to terrorists’ destruction to voting materials on election day.
Meanwhile, the electoral authority has directed the regional election commissioner to submit a three-day investigation report on allegations of vandalism at a polling station in NA-242 Karachi Keamari-I-Sindh.
