The first awaited biopic of 2016 based on former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin named ‘Azhar’ is all set to release in another 6 days. The promotions of the movie are on in full swing and the star cast of the movie are trying various ways to attract the audience to watch the movie. Recently, the leading actor of the movie Emran Hashmi, along with the producers, has launched a campaign called ‘#AzharAnthem’. This campaign is a way to interact with the audience through the means of sending their personalised videos or photos playing cricket using the hashtag #AzharAnthem. Actor Emran Hashmi tweeted about the same on his social media that mentioned, “Here’s your chance to be a part of #AzharAnthem. This movie stars Emran as Mohammed Azharuddin, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri as Sangeeta Bijlani. The first schedule of the movie was completed in October 2015 that was shot at Lords, the Oval, Canterbury, Derby and Edgbaston cricket grounds across UK. Some parts of the movie has also been shot at Harleyford Manor, Virginia Water, Mayfield Lavender Farm and Windsor, as reported on hindustantimes.com. Apart from these lead actors, the movie also features Bigg Boss 8 winner Gautam Gulati and Lara Dutta with the movie slated to hit the theatres on May 13. Of all the captains India has ever had, Azharuddin is one of the most controversial who has seen extreme ups and downs throughout his career. Ever since the trailer has been launched, it has grabbed the eye balls of both movie and cricket lovers.
