The off-spinner was reported after the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in November, which Pakistan won by 248 runs. Hafeez, a veteran of 155 One-Day Internationals (ODI) said that he was an ordinary bowler with no special deliveries such as doosra or teesra, but had been effective for Pakistan the way he bowls naturally, the Dawn reported. Hafeez further said that he had been bowling with the same action since the start of his career, insisting that no objections were raised back then. The all-rounder admitted that he has just worked to modify his action as per the new protocol set by the ICC.
