MS Dhoni smokes 3 consecutive sixes in TNPL

Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Australian batsman Matthew Hayden were part of the six-hitting competition.

The second edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) kicked off with a six-hitting competition in Chennai on Saturday (July 22) and part of it were former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Australian batsman Matthew Hayden. Both players, who played together for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, are well known for their power hitting skills. Hayden has hit 182 sixes, while Dhoni has so far hit 322 maximums in his career.

Donning Chennai Super Kings’ yellow jersey, Dhoni faced a bowling machine and sent all the three deliveries he faced into the stadium. The fans present at the stadium went gaga seeing Dhoni hit those massive sixes. You can see the video here:

The TNPL 2017 has started with defending champions Tuti Patriots winning the first match by 7 runs against Dindigul Dragons. The final of the tournament will be played on August 20 at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
