National Under-16 cricket tournament begins

The second season of National Coca Cola Under-16 cricket tournament kicked off on Thursday.

“The tournament will be held across ten states and 70 districts in which 11,000 students from 780 colleges will participate in preliminaries,” Hindustan Coca Cola General Manager, Narayan Bhatt said.

In Andhra Pradesh, matches will be held in 14 districts over the next four weeks and final in Vijaywada, said Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association General Secretary G Ganga Raju.

He said the winning team will be given cash prize of Rs 50,000 and the runners-up Rs 35,000.
