Sri Lanka lost their first wicket in the form of Tillakaratne Dilshan during their chase of 332 against New Zealand to win the opening encounter of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Veteran left-arm spinner and former skipper of New Zealand, Daniel Vettori got him out. He took a return catch on his own bowling. Earlier Sri Lankan opening pair started the run-chase carefully. Both Dilshan and Lahiru Thirimanne were looking to play out the initial spells of Tim Southee and Trent Boult. Both new ball bowlers of New Zealand got some movement out of the wicket and were troubling the Sri Lankan batsmen.
