Out-of-favour Pakistan opening batter Imam-ul-Haq dropped a cryptic post after getting snubbed from the Men in Green’s 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
Pakistan were the final team that announced their squad for the Champions Trophy and they finally did so on Friday. With opener Saim Ayub ruled out of the tournament due to injury, Pakistan opted to go for Fakhar Zaman. Star batter Babar Azam will most likely open the batting with Fakhar in the upcoming ICC tournament.
There was a scope for another opener, but the board decided to go heavy on middle-order batters, giving them much-needed explosiveness along with added depth. With batters like Saud Shakeel, Tayyab Tahir, Kamran Ghulam and Khushdil Shah selected in the squad, there was no space left for Imam.
Following his snub from Pakistan’s squad, the left-handed batter soon took to social media and wrote a cryptic post.
Not the outcome I expected, but the journey isn’t over. This is how life is—it's all about growth and getting stronger with every hurdle. Patience and trust in Allah is the key!🤍 pic.twitter.com/0nMevB7tTo
