Pakistan Women came up with a commendable performance as they drubbed Bangladesh Women by nine wickets to win the Match 9 of the ongoing ACC Women’s Asia Cup T20 2016, at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok on Wednesday. For Pakistan, it was Sana Mir, who shone with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for just 5 runs, as Bangladesh were shot out for mere 44 in just 16 overs, with just a couple of batter getting into the double figure mark. As for Pakistan batting, it was Javeria Khan and Iram Javed, who batted out and saw Pakistan win the tie by a mammoth nine wickets. Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Rumana Ahmed won the coin toss, and elected to bat first, as they were off to a shaky start, losing their three opening wickets with just 4 runs on the board, while their fourth wicket fell at the score of 19, and just a couple of runs later, it was the skipper herself, who was one of the double figure scorers, fell for mere 11. The middle-order too failed to contribute, and so did the tail-enders, while former skipper Jahanara Alam remained unbeaten on 12, as she was the top run-scorer from the side.

As for Pakistan, it was a piece of cake for the total to be chased down. Although, they were off to a shaky start, losing opener Ayesha Zafar for a mere 2 to Khadija Tul Kubra in the third over, with just 14 runs on the board, it was the pair of fellow opener Javeria, and Javed, who chased the total down with an ease, as they remained unbeaten on 26 and 17, respectively, thus sealing a nine-wicket win in just 10 overs, and grabbing the all-important 2 points.
