The Test match concludes within the first session of the fifth day as the Pakistan batters succumb to the England bowlers. After taking a lead of 267 runs. The Three Lions have pulled off a brilliant victory by bowling out the hosts for 220 runs which saw the visitors win the match by an innings and 47 runs.

After Salman Ali Agha got dismissed for 63 runs, the match was more or less over for Pakistan as next batters Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah would be dismissed for 10 and 6 respectively. Finally, Abrar Ahmed who got admitted to the hospital yesterday due to high fever wasn’t able to take the field as Pakistan were bowled out.

This humiliating defeat means that Pakistan become the first-ever side to lose a Test match after posting over 500 runs in the first innings. This also means that Pakistan skipper Shan Masood is yet to record a Test victory despite becoming the skipper back in November, 2023.
