Well, let’s hope the second ODI on Saturday is not a one-sided affair. Let’s hope Ireland can put up a better show then and learn from their mistakes. Till then it’s goodbye from us here! Takecare! Adios amigos!

  • 10:56 PM IST

This is Ireland’s lowest score in an ODI in Ireland. They just haven’t been good enough. First Sharjeel Khan sent the Irish bowlers all over the park, then Umar Gul marked his return in fashion giving early jolts to their batsmen, and finally Imad Wasim put the icing on the cake with a fifer. Complete performance from Pakistan!

  • 10:50 PM IST

It’s all over. Pakistan have wrapped this up quickly, very quickly. Imad Wasim almost claimed a hat-trick there. If not a hat-trick, he made sure, he got three wickets in the over. The last three wickets were all bowled. Ireland have been beaten by 255 runs. A one -sided fixture this. And not to forget, Imad Wasim has taken a five-for here, his first in international cricket.

Live: Pakistan vs Ireland 82/7 in 23 overs | Target : 338| Andy McBrine 14(21), Barry McCarthy 1(2): You would be really optimistic if you still think Ireland can bounce back in this one. They need much more than singles. Nawaz came into the attack and went for 12 runs in his first over, but that’s that. Ireland have no supplies left. Their top-order was blown away by Gul’s brilliance. And another wicket falls. Wilson came down the wicket, was beaten by turn, and Sarfraz did the rest.

    OUT!Wilson st Sarfraz b Mohammad Nawaz 21(33)

Live: Pakistan vs Ireland 59/6 in 17 overs | Target : 338| Andy McBrine 1(3), Gary Wilson 12(17): Niall O’Brien was clearly not looking comfortable out in the middle. He stepped out of his crease, was beaten by spin, and Sarfraz completed an easy stumping. Three balls later Imad Wasim struck Poynter in front and Ireland’s misery now has no end to it. Two wickets in one over.

Live: Pakistan vs Ireland 46/4 in 14 overs | Target : 338| Niall O’Brien 5(20), Gary Wilson 9(10): As Umar Gul was taken off after an excellent spell, Imad Wasim was brought on. Just one run came off the spinner’s first over. Ireland are in damage-control mode at the moment. And we have drinks now. Pakistan don’t need that, do they? Clearly on top. Look dull of energy, their bowlers.

  • 9:53 PM IST

Live: Pakistan vs Ireland 36/4 in 12 overs | Target : 338| Niall O’Brien 3(13), Gary Wilson 2(5): Ireland are struggling here. Umar Gul has been brilliant. He set up Joyce for the pull and he was caught trying to pull. Then Kevin O’Brien’s stay was a short one too, lasted 2 balls. He edged one to keeper’ Sarfraz. Gul is enjoying himself, Isn’t he? Gary Wilson is the new man in.

Live: Pakistan vs Ireland 8/1 in 5 overs | Target : 338| William Porterfield 5(15), Ed Joyce 2(15): Ireland have their best pair at the crease. They can’t let lose wickets here, if they want to stay in the chase. It’s been a cautious start after the first wicket loss. Porterfield did get the first boundary of the innings with a cut. Comeback man Umar Gul continues.

  • 9:09 PM IST

Live: Pakistan vs Ireland 2/1 in 3 overs | Target : 338| William Porterfield 0(6), Ed Joyce 1(10): The very first over produced the first breakthrough for PAK, and who else but Mohammad Aamer, knocking Stirling’s leg-stump. Shoaib Malik started from the other end. Just one run came off his over. Aamer’s second over nearly got Joyce’s wicket, he was dropped at first slip. Aamer is charging in here!

Consecutive fours for Malik of the next two balls. In total 14 runs come off that over. Another big over for PAK. Can they get even more of the last over?
