Former England captain Michael Vaughan has been moved to term Pakistan’s Test spearhead Mohammad Abbas as the type of bowler who would have him “poop my pants” after the seamer’s career-best haul of 5/33 against Australia in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Abbas added thee wickets to bowl out Australia for 145 – the fourth-lowest first-innings total in Asia – on day two of the second Test in another crippling display of quality seam bowling, and drew level with Waqar Younis, Mohammad Asif and Shabbir Ahmed as the fastest Pakistan pacers to 50 Test wickets.
Having watched Mahammad Abbas now for over a year … I have decided he would get me out every time within about 6 balls … The type of bowler i would poop my pants about … Thought I would let you all know … #PAKvAUS

Vaughan tweeted after Abbas’ demolition job: “Having watched Mohammad Abbas now for over a year, I have decided he would get me out every time within about six balls. The type of bowler I would poop my pants about. Thought I would let you all know.”
Abbas had claimed ten wickets for Leicestershire in a Division Two match versus Durham during the County Championship this summer on the way to finishing the season with 50 wickets at 17.72 One of his wickets was Kent captain Sam Billings, who agreed with Vaughan.
“Did it week in week out on Div Two wickets as well… blew front pads off for fun! My shin is still bruised,” tweeted Billings.
