Delhi-boy Pawan Negi picked up a five-wicket haul in the final match of the Champions League T20(CLT20) against Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR). Playing in his second match of the CLT20 for CSK, the 21-year-old youngster was at his very best with the ball.
He started the demolition by picking the wicket of Robin Uthappa and followed it with the wicket of Jacques Kallis who tried to hoick him over extra cover. He came back to bowl the penultimate over of the match scalped three wickets giving away only two runs.
He got Manish Pandey, Surya Kumar Yadav and Ryan ten Doeschate in the 19th over of the match and stopped the flow of runs. He also achieved the best figures in the history of CLT20 – picking up five wickets and giving only 22 runs.
