After appearing in front of the Pakistan Cricket Board s (PCB) Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU), batsman Shahzaib Hasan is likely to receive his official charge for being involved in the spot-fixing scam of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017. Apart from Shahzaib, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Irfan are among the major suspects to be involved in the same. The four players have been asked to appear in front of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), while Shahzaib will get his official charge sheet for breaching PCB s anti-corruption code, if sources are to be believed. Reported by geo.tv, both Irfan and Shahzaib were summoned by ACU after being alleged in association with international fixing syndicate. While Irfan has been already suspended by PCB from any cricketing activity, Shahzaib will get his on Friday. Earlier, an inside source of PCB had revealed to PTI about the four cricketers being summoned by FIA, The FIA has issued notices to the players in the Pakistan Super League spot-fixing case after holding preliminary investigations into the matter and after consulting the Pakistan Cricket Board. However, UK-based Nasir Jamshed will have to appear at the Pakistan High Commission in London. He can t come to Pakistan as he is on bail and has to appear before UK s national crime agency in April in this case. But we want to also question him in detail about his role in the PSL spot-fixing scandal, the source had revealed to PTI.
