The table-toppers Quetta Gladiators will lock horns with former champions Islamabad United in Match 17 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. In Pakistan, the live cricket streaming will be available on PTV Sports Live, along with the live cricket telecast on Ten Sports, PTV, and Geo Super TV. In United Arab Emirates (UAE), the live cricket streaming will be available on OSN Play, along with the live telecast on OSN Sports. In United Kingdom (UK), the live cricket streaming is available on Prime TV Online, along with the live cricket telecast on Prime TV. Also, in Bangladesh, and West Indies, the live cricket telecast will be available on Gazi TV and Flow TV respectively.
With the reverse fixture all to be played, the Sarfraz Ahmed led-Gladiators will be hoping to settle scores as they suffered a 5-wicket defeat earlier. After having set a decent target of 149, Gladiators had to lay down their arms against Sam Billings’s unbeaten onslaught of 78 off just 50 deliveries. With the reverse fixture in sight, Sarfraz and co. have a stern challenge of maintaining the top position as a defeat will pull them down giving way to United to top the table.
Rilee Rossouw, the attacking South African opener has been the leader for Gladiators in this season. He is the second highest run-scorer in this tournament with 191 runs which includes two cracking fifties. Kevin Pietersen too smashed unbeaten 88 a few days back which would have provided a relief to the team management to shun the feeling of over-dependency over Rossouw. As for their bowling, Hasan Khan and Mohammad Nawaz hold the key.
As for the Misbah-ul-Haq led Islamabad United, they have relied on Dwayne Smith, as the West Indian opener has the maximum runs this season and has proven his consistency with every opportunity. With the services of someone like Shane Watson available, United have made sure of using his potential to the full. Mohammad Sami has headed United bowling attack this season and the veteran is the second best bowler in the tournament with 9 wickets against his name.
With the group stages ending on February 26 and this being the penultimate game, both teams will certainly have the ambition of sealing the top position in the table.
