Sachin Tendulkar was overwhelmed by the visit of his childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar to his new house that he described as one of the happiest moments of his life.

“One of the happiest moments of my life today that my coach Achrekar sir came to my new house and blessed it with his presence,” Tendulkar wrote on his Twitter account.

Tendulkar had shifted to his newly constructed five-storey bungalow at Perry Cross Road in suburban Bandra on September 28.

The batting maestro’s new home has been reconstructed on a plot that earlier housed a dilapidated bungalow, which Tendulkar had bought for Rs 39 crore in 2007.

The villa has been secured with high-walled fencing to avoid curious onlookers. CCTV cameras and sensors have also been installed.

It will have three storeys above the ground level, two underground basements, a guest room, drawing and dining rooms, besides the living rooms.

The house will also have in its premises a temple, arrangements for displaying various awards and trophies won by Tendulkar and a swimming pool on the terrace.(PTI)
