On the Day Two of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 clash of Round 5 between Delhi and Jharkhand, Delhi is trailing their opposition by 268 runs. Team Delhi has currently put up 225 runs for the loss of three wickets and have their captain and opener Unmukt Chand and Rishab Pant batting. Chand is batting on 89 runs off 151 balls while Pant has scored his century and is batting on 107 from just 84 balls consisting of seven boundaries and eight sixes. Winning the toss, Delhi decided to bowl first as the wicket seemed very conducive to bowling. Delhi bowlers started off on an excellent note as kept on getting wickets on regular intervals. Pratyush Singh scored 45 runs off 59 balls to stop the downfall. Ishank Jaggi also played a handful knock of 55 runs from 89 balls. But it was Kishan who stood as the standout batsman as he scored a blistering knock of 273 runs from 336 deliveries which were laced with 21 boundaries and 14 sixes.

Suboth Bhati remained the best bowler for Delhi as he finished with the figures of 3 for 80. Parvinder Awana and Milind Kumar got 2 wickets while Vikas Tokas got one. Delhi still have a big task in their hand as they have to cover the deficit of 268 runs with 7 wickets in hand. Both Chand and Pant have put up a partnership of 151 runs for the third wicket and they will need to carry on with the same momentum on Day Three to stay in the competition.
