Incessant rains concluded no play on Day Three as Delhi remained at their overnight score of 250 for the loss of eight wickets against Vidarbha in the first innings of Round 8 of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2016-17 encounter. Delhi have a healthy lead of 67 runs as Day Three witnessed no action. Manan Sharma remained unbeaten on 82 while Vikas Tokas was unconquered on 28. The duo have played well and stitched a much-needed 72-run partnership. Manan played with unmatched confidence on a surface where wickets kept tumbling like nine-pins. His 80-run knock contained nine boundaries and a six whereas Tokas also smashed four boundaries in his stint so far.  Full Cricket Score Ranji Trophy 2016-17, Day 2, Round 8

Delhi got off to a rocky start as Shikhar Dhawan walked back for a mere score of 6, which was followed by Pradeep Sangwan for 4. Unmukt Chand floundered a golden opportunity and was out for a duck while Gautam Gambhir was undone by Rajneesh Gurbani for 22. Rishabh Pant got a start but fell prey to Lalit Yadav’s persistence on 29. Nitish Rana chipped in with 27 runs but failed to convert it into a big score. Milind Kumar played well for his 37 after which Manan and Tokas took charge.

Vidarbha bowlers did a good job in chipping early wickets but ran out of option in breaking the partnership between Sharma and Tokas. Gurbani bowled well for his four wickets while Lalit
Yadav had three to his name. Hopefully, the final day of the game will witness some action as Delhi will eye to increase their lead.

Vidarbha 183 (Shalabh Shrivastava 62, Shrikant Wagh 46*; Sumit Narwal 38 for 4) trail Delhi 250 for 8 (Manan Sharma 82*, Milind Kumar 37; Rajneesh Gurbani 4 for 76) by 67 runs.
