The second day of Ranji trophy semi-finals belonged to the batting side. Karnataka who came to bat yesterday are 294 for 8 at stumps with a lead of 109 runs. Delhi on the other hand are in a strong position with 271 for 3 trailing by only 15 runs. The live cricket streaming of the match between Vidarbha and Karnataka will be available on Hotstar, while the live telecast of the Bengal vs Delhi match will be available on Star Sports. The Vidarbha-Karnataka match is been played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata while Delhi-Bengal match played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
In the first semi-final Bengal were all out today for 286. Bengal’s last three wickets fell for three runs, Navdeep Siani picked up 3 for 55 for Delhi. Delhi who came to bat today were 88 for no loss at lunch. Both the openers, Gautam Gambhir and Kunal Chandela went on to score centuries by tea. Bengal managed to pick three wickets but Delhi dominated Day 2.
In the second semi-final, Karun Nair stood tall and remained unbeaten on 148 at stumps. Nair added a 139 run partnership with wicketkeeper CM Gautam (73) that helped Karnataka take a 109 lead. After the wicket of Gautam Vidarbha bowlers took wickets after regular intervals. Karnataka captain, Vinay Kumar added 69 run partnership for the ninth wicket and remained unbeaten at 20 end of the day.
