EliteC-Rd6-Day1

Pratyush Singh was two runs shy of his maiden first-class century as Tripura reached 247/7 on the opening day of their Elite C Round 6 match of the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season against Goa on Friday as both teams are looking for their first wins this season.

Opting to bat on their home turf at the MBB Stadium in Agartala, Tripura lost opener SM Singha for just four after he edged it behind to Goa captain Sagun Kamat to give Lakshay Garg his first wicket. JR Bainik and NN Sen Choudhary then steadied the innings with a 60-run partnership before Garg returned to deny Bainik his half-century as he departed for 44. Tripura captain SK Patel added just 1 to the total and was dismissed by Krishna Das.
