Allrounder Krunal Pandya, who smashed 160 to rescue Baroda, this time worked his magic with the ball and picked up four wickets along with Bhargav Bhatt, who snatched three to help Baroda bundle out Railways for 200 in the first innings of their Ranji Trophy 2018-19 Round 8 Elite A match on Monday.

Baroda thus take a comfortable first innings lead. In the second innings, Baroda lost two early wickets and went into stumps on 14/2 with a 127-run lead.

Resuming their day at 289/6, Baroda folded for 313 with Amit Mishra emerging as the pick of the bowlers with a five-wicket haul. In reply, the elder of the Pandya brothers and Bhatt ran through the Railways batting line up. Railways captain Mahesh Rawat top scored with 50, while Arindam Ghosh added 46.

Pandya returned with figures of four for 40 in his 18.3 overs, while Bhatt claimed three for 33 in his 15 overs.

In reply, Baroda lost both their wickets – Aditya Waghmode (0) and Vishnu Solanki (2) – to Mishra. Captain Kedar Devdhar and Deepak Hooda were batting on 6 and 4 respectively when stumps were drawn.
