Ranji Trophy: Services target win after taking big lead over Odisha

Services are in sight of their third win of the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy after they left themselves nine wickets to claim on the final day against Odisha at Palam.

A handy 62 to skipper Rajat Paliwal and Vikas Hathawala’s maiden first-class hundred set up Services’ declaration at 417/8 – a lead of 240 – and by stumps on Tuesday the visitors were 64/1. Hathwala, in his 21st game, faced 196 deliveries and hit 10 fours and two sixes. After Paliwal departed in the 97th over, Hathwala helped add 164 runs with the next four batsmen.

In 28 overs of their second innings, Odisha began with a stand of 63 from Shantanu Mishra (30) and Debasish Samantray (34*).
