In the Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma reached a massive feat, securing his name in an elite list.
In case of either matches or innings played, Rohit became the second-fastest batter to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. Rohit reached this feat in 268 matches, 260 innings. With this milestone, he surpassed legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had reached this feat in 284 matches, 276 innings.
India’s batting maestro Virat Kohli is at the top of the list with 222 innings. Rohit Sharma is at the second, with 261 innings. Sachin Tendulkar sits at the third spot with 276 innings. Ricky Ponting at the fourth with 286 innings, and Sourav Ganguly at the fifth with 288 innings.
