The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 match between the Delhi Daredevils (DD) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been called off due to rain. Incessant rains after the DD innings has led to a delay and when the covers had come off and the teams were ready to play, the rain came down again. This will not have much of a bearing as DD have been knocked. This does help RCB as they will in all probability finish on the third spot in the IPL 2015 points table. Live Updates: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils
On a green surface, with overcast skies lurking, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first. DD had to make one change to their side as Albie Morkel was out due to illness. Angelo Mathews replaced him. While DD have been knocked out of the tournament, this game still presented a glimmer of hope for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as they needed the JP Duminy-led side to beat RCB by 140 runs to have any chance of going through to the next round.
Quinton de Kock and Duminy scored good fifties as DD went on to score 187 for five in their 20 overs. Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets each and Mitchell Starc had a tough day as he conceded 35 runs in his four overs. RCB only batted for an over and a ball, scoring two runs.
