India’s most loved cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is currently on a marketing spree to promote his upcoming biographical documentary Sachin: A Billion Dreams. The latest to join the bandwagon is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who the cricketing legend met in Delhi on Friday morning. Modi, a self proclaimed cricket fan, was briefed by Tendulkar on his upcoming movie that hits theatres on May 26. Modi also wished Tendulkar all the very best for his movie in the same meeting and also gave an inspiring message of ‘Jo khele, Wahi khile!. The movie showcases Tendulkar’s journey from watching India’s first World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev lift the trophy to the fulfillment of his dream of holding it in his hands for India in 2011.
Both Modi and Tendulkar have often interacted on in social media, from Modi mentioning Tendulkar in his ‘Maan ki Baat’ address to Tendulkar asking Modi to support Indian athletes during the Rio Olympics 2016. Speaking about the movie, Tendulkar recently said, “People will get to see more than what they have seen for 24 years of me on field – my private life, my family and my friends. We dug out some really good footage that no one has seen”.

Tendulkar has touched upon various topics, from the importance of the one-rupee coin that he would treat no less than an Olympics medal to the dark chapter of match-fixing in Indian cricket when he was at his pomp; he also says there are lot of unanswered questions in the film.
Tendulkar has always mentioned that the film carries his individual take on various stages of his life, which the general public is not aware of.
