When Sachin Tendulkar  and Shane Warne were present at the streets of New York, it was an odd happening that almost no one recognized them and just passed away, however some handful who recognized them were just astonished. Tendulkar and Warne are one of the greatest cricketers in India and Australia, but in a place where cricket is not loved as much as in other parts of the world, their presence does not have much of a difference. However for those who are originally from India or Australia, or for those who fallow cricket, the experience of meeting Tendulkar or Warne on the street is like a dream come true and a similar experience of meeting  Michael Jordan, Pope Francis and Taylor Swift. “Wherever Sachin goes, you’ve got a billion people who love him,” said Warne, who is at present in the United States and accompanying Tendulkar at Citi Field. Tendulkar said “There is a bodyguard with me 24 hours.” Warne added: “It actually could harm him; he gets stampeded.” Tendulkar and Warn will be the captain of rival teams, of retired cricketers in the exhibitions on Saturday at Citi Field, on November 11 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Brian Lara of the West Indies, Wasim Akram of Pakistan and Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka would also be participating in the game.

“It’s a great version of the game,” Warne said. “It’s got the skill, the athleticism. It’s the rock ’n’ roll version, you’ve got no time to think.” “Toward the end, every ball matters,” Tendulkar said. There is also a possibility of the game might have a great impact on Citi Field and might have lasting effects. “If you work out the angles at Citi Field, the screen is in a bit of the hit zone,” Warne said with a grin. “Like when you look at dimensions and the way the cricket pitch is going to be dropped in, if some of these guys hit the ball over 100 meters. …” However making Citi Field a suitable playing ground for cricket would be a great task, as the most important part of a cricket field is the pitch — the strip of grass, 22 yards long and 10 feet wide, on which the bowler bounces the ball to the batsman. The type of pitch has great impact in the game and results of the game. For this, the game organizers grew a pitch in Indianapolis and are bringing the pitch on a flatbed truck for the game.

All of the players of the game have passed their success period, but Tendulkar and Warne are sure of the quality of the game played, shall be competitive and high.
