Sachin Tendulkar speaks about ‘Recipe’ behind Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Fantastic IPL centurial innings

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a brilliant 35-ball century- which secured the record for the youngest player to his a T20 ton at just 14 years of age. This impressive batting display has left the whole cricket community in shock, and countless number of people, along with cricket legends and experts have praised Vaibhav for his outstanding display.

The young batter from Rajasthan Royals (RR) shared an impressive 166-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, which massively helped the team chase down their target of 210 runs against Gujarat Titans (GT) with 8 wickets remaining.

As he came to the the pitch, Vaibhav played aggressively while also showing composure. He hit 11 sixes and 7 fours. His powerful strikes came against bowling of experienced players like Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma and Washington Sundar all around the ground.

His ability to hit clean and composed shots earned him comparisons to a lot of cricketing greats. Some even compared him to Sachin Tendulkar, who had won the spotlight with his powerful batting as a teen. Sachin himself was shocked with Vaibhav’s spectacular hitting. Praising the emerging star batter, the cricketing legend went on to his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account and shared what he believed to be the mantra behind Suryavanshi’s batting.

Vaibhav’s fearless approach, bat speed, picking the length early, and transferring the energy behind the ball was the recipe behind a fabulous innings. End result: 101 runs off 38 balls,” Tendulkar wrote on X.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi came under the spotlight last year, when he was 13 years old, and had hit a century against Australia Under-19 team in 58 balls. He was then taken by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 1.10 crore in the IPL 2025 mega-auction, held last year in Jeddah.
